PC #129: Datsun 1300

FI – 1052146

The sender had to pick her biggest card because of my long address. hahaha 😀 Well, that’s how addresses work in PH. 🙂

This big card shows the Datsun 1300, from the Datsun truck series. The pick-up trucks are first produced in Japan in 1955, and has been known for being economical since then. Today, the trucks are manufactured with the Nevara and Frontier names.

PC #126: Nikkaluokta chapel in Sweden

FI – 1074783

This beautiful card shows the Nikkaluokta kapell in Sweden. The chapel was designed by Cyrillus Johansson, and was inaugurated in 1942. Standing by the chapel is a man from Lappland, the northern region of Sweden. If I’m not mistaken, the indigenous people living in the northern part of Scandinavia are called the Sami people.

Very colorful outfit worn by the man. I guess they have a happy and colorful personality up there in the north as well?

The sender’s brother lived in Lappland and brought her this card. Thanks for sharing it with me, Heidi!

PC #120: Yummy barbecue

This is not the season for barbecues, but I still love this postcard sent by Outi.  I wasn’t expecting to get a Thank You card from her so I was really surprised!

I really love this hobby. I am learning a lot!!! And now I’m dying to go to Finland and swim in its hundreds of  lakes! How sad it is that my hometown province surrounds the largest lake in the country (Laguna de Bay) but it is covered with thousands of FISH PENS (utang na loob), there’s no way one can swim in it. Oh, before I forget, here’s the card I sent to Outi. It’s of the Tappia Waterfalls in Batad, Ifugao. 🙂

Thanks again, Outi! All the best to your new cottage by the lake. Lovely stamp from Finland (as always) used:
