This ad card .. makes me wonder. Does it have something to do with stealing files? Lol. Thanks to Mike for sending my 46th card from Russia, and for using nice Russian stamps. The stamps used are of the definitive set featuring kremlins, fortified complexes and castles found in historic Russian cities, issued in 2009. 😉

PC #62: Schlosskirche (Königsberg), Germany
A beautiful black and white card showing the interior of the Lutheran Schlosskirche or “castle church” in Königsberg, Germany. It was founded in 1584 by Blasius Berwart of Stuttgart.
This is the first “empty postcard” I have received. The sender did not leave any message at all! hahaha

PC #59: The Sacrifice of Abraham (an art work)
This beautiful painting is a masterpiece of Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn, painted in 1635. Yelena, the sender, wrote that the painting can be found in one of their greatest museums, the Hermitage.
Wonderful Russian stamps as always! Two of which features some Russian arctic animals, and the big one commemorates the Olympics held in Vancouver in 2010. Thanks, Yelena!

Now, this is one happy baby! ❤
The stamp used is part of the set “Winter Olympics – Sochi, Russia” issued in 2011. It features the 30-meter Romanesque watchtower on top of the Bolshoy Akhun mountain, which is the top point of the Akhun mountain group. It rises 663 m above sea level.
Thanks, Anastasiya!

PC #33: From Russia with love
This official Postcrossing card was sent by Maggie, a colleague. She was aspiring to be an English and French teacher. The photograph was a creation of a famous Russian photographer and artist, Vera Nefedorova.
I like the rather unusual theme of the postcard. haha But sadly, it was a metered card. So no stamps. 😦 But still, thanks a bunch to Maggie!
PC #29: Saint Nicholas Cathedral, St. Petersburg
This official Postcrossing card reminds me of my bucketlist. I want to visit St. Petersburg in the near future! The city looks so majestic and colorful on pictures and postcards. 😉
St. Nicholas Cathedral was built in 1753-62, and was designed by architect Savva Chevakinsky.
Lera, the sender, wrote that she loves to travel and has traveled to many countries already. She also wrote how she badly wanted to visit the Philippines. Thanks, Lera!
Cute bear stamps used!
PC #23: Happy Birthday from Russia
This postcard was sent by Galina all the way from Russia on my 25th birthday! 🙂
Beautiful stamps used! Kremlins, fortified complexes and castles found in historic Russian cities, is the theme of this definitive set. The stamps are odd-shaped and are released in 2009. The big one is part of the series “Outstanding Lawyers of Russia” and shows Yaguzhinskiy Pavel (1683-1736). He was “appointed to the Procurator-General (this position was approved by Peter the Great), stood at sources of the development of this governmental structure. Since its foundation, the prosecutor’s office was opposing actively to corruption and lawlessness.”
Thanks, Galina!
